The British Council building, near KLCC in the heart of the city, offers high quality English courses for adults, young learners and busy professionals. Our highly qualified teachers will help you extend your skills and our teaching centre has some of the best facilities for studying in Kuala Lumpur.

General English classes
Our intensive and part-time courses help to improve your overall ability in the language, focussing on speaking, reading, listening and writing communication skills. Our approach emphasises working in pairs and groups and learning through communicating.

Courses for young Learners
We know that the challenges facing your children at school are greater than they have ever been. That's why our English Language for Young Learners programme aims to help your children grow in confidence and succeed in their studies.

Business English Courses
If you need to negotiate in English, talk on the telephone, hold meetings, deal with problems or generally deal with English in a business context, these courses will give you a real advantage whether your level is elementary or advanced.

Corporate training
We offer custom-made courses specially designed for corporate clients' needs. Our clients are all well known at home and abroad. They include banks, government agencies and multinational companies.

Preparation for exams
We offer courses in a number of globally recognised exams, including IELTS and Cambridge examinations. Students are trained in the skills required for their level of English language proficiency, and will be made familiar with the format of the test. We also run classes to prepare for the SPM/1119 exam.

Young Adult English Classes
This course will help you improve your overall ability in English, and particularly focuses on the reading and writing skills you need for higher education. You will develop your understanding of English grammar, increase your range of vocabulary and develop your confidence with the spoken language.
