My wife and I recently took
some time off work for a well needed brake.
We decide to go somewhere we could relax and enjoy the sun.
Pangkor Laut Resort came well recommend.
My wife is not to fond of
flying in little planes so we drove to up to Lumut, which is about 4
hours, drive from Kuala Lumpur.
We left Kuala Lumpur on the Monday just after lunch and
arrived to check into a hotel in Lumut for the night.
There was not much to choose from and we weren’t feeling
too adventurous so it was KFC and off to bed.
The next morning we woke up bright and early to get the fairy
across to Pangkor Laut.
The ferry ride across was
fun we passed the Malaysia Naval base.
As a kid I used to make model boats so it was fun for me.
My wife was not as excited as me.
When we arrived we were stunned by the clear water and the
fish swimming around the jetty.
This resort is designed with
couples in mind. In
fact there were only couples there.
Perfect for a honeymoon or that romantic trip away you’ve
been promising yourself.
There is no TV in the room,
which is good. It gives
you time to enjoy the place.
Nature lovers are in for a treat.
The Island is 80% forest.
Uncle Yip the resident naturalist conducts daily tours
through the jungle. My
wife and I decide that it would be fun to see the Island from the
water. So we rented a
two-man kayak and paddle around the island.
It was a great way to see the island and get a work out at
the same time. Which
gave us an excuse to try the out door bath.
Let just say that it’s a great way to sooth sore muscles.
