About us

Expat.com.my has been running as a community service since 1997, with the intent of providing updated information to the expatriate community in Malaysia.  We are now expanding our scope to be more informative.  To do this we have improved the content and provided facilities for all expatriate organizations to post their contact information, up and coming events, and news.  For more more detailed information see below. 

Improved Content

“Expat Survival” This monthly section focuses on the day-to-day challenges of expatriate life.  Informative articles like how to obtain a driving license or how to read a phone bill.  Stuff most Malaysian take for granted with a few does and don’ts thrown in too.

“Around Town” is continually updated with information on with the goings on in Kuala Lumpur.  Concerts, Plays, Parties, Sales!

“Travel Malaysia” This bi-monthly section highlights some of the many exciting travel destinations around Malaysia.    

“Expat Experience” This section is by expat for expats.  Any Malaysian experience as seen through expat eyes.  So if you have any send them in and we’ll publish them.

“Home Living” is a section dedicated to anything in and around the home.  From security issues, gardening to hiring a maid “home living” will help make living in your new home easier!  

“Expat Health” the all-important, what do you have if you don’t have your health?  This section focuses on health related issues in Malaysia.

“Dining” this section will highlight some of the better places to wine and dine in Kuala Lumpur’s feast of culinary section.

“Expat Financial Tips” is good sound advice on finical matters.  In this ever changing world it keeps you abreast of any changes that might effect your financial situation.

“Did you know” is a fun section full of bits and bites but jammed pack with useful information.
